How Tayeb started
A simple question
In 2023 a group of friends in Amman kept asking why the best shawarma in the city wasn't on any delivery app, while the same five chains showed up everywhere. The answer was always the same: the existing platforms were not built for the way small Jordanian restaurants actually run.
Building with restaurants, not against them
We spent six months sitting inside kitchens before we wrote a single line of production code. We watched how orders came in, how drivers were called, how prices changed when tomatoes got expensive. Tayeb was designed around what we saw, not what looked good in a pitch deck.
Launching in Amman
Tayeb's first order was delivered in West Amman in 2024. By the end of that year we had grown to three cities, more than two hundred partner restaurants and a driver community that knew every back street between Sweifieh and Jabal Al Lweibdeh.
Where we are today
Today Tayeb operates four apps, serves twelve cities across Jordan, and works with hundreds of independent restaurants alongside well known names. We are still privately held, still based in Amman, and still answer support tickets from real people.
What we will not compromise on
Restaurants come first
Restaurants are the reason Tayeb exists. We publish our commission rates, we do not hide menu items behind paid placement, and we never lower a restaurant's prices without asking.
Fair, safe driver work
Drivers see what they will earn before they accept an order. We do not run silent ratings that affect pay, and we cover accident protection during active shifts.
Honest pricing for customers
The fee shown at checkout is the fee you pay. No surge labels hiding extra charges, no fake discounts, no inflated original prices.
Local accountability
Our support team is in Amman, our drivers are in your city, and our leadership is a short drive away. When something goes wrong, a real person fixes it.
Who runs Tayeb
Tayeb Inc. is led by a Jordanian founding team with backgrounds in product, logistics and hospitality. We are headquartered in Amman and operate entirely inside Jordan.
